This option allows users to access a PDF document containing information on the major
statistical issues affecting the computation of data for the Healthy People 2010 objectives,
as well as information on the methods used to evaluate progress toward the initiative's
goals and targets. This document is an updated version of Tracking Healthy People 2010
Part A: General Data Issues, which was originally published in November, 2000. Three new
sections have been added: A section describing the Midcourse Review process and outcomes;
and two sections outlining the methods used to evaluate progress toward Healthy People
2010's two overarching goals ("Increase the quality and years of healthy life" and
"Eliminate health disparities"). The remaining sections have been updated to reflect the
latest information and methods.
