Nationally Notifiable Infectious Diseases and Conditions, United States: Weekly Tables

The figure is a bar chart showing selected notifiable disease reports for the United States with comparison of provisional 4-week totals through May 25, 2019, with historical data. Reports of acute hepatitis A, acute hepatitis B, acute hepatitis C and measles increased with acute hepatitius A increasing beyond historical limits. Reports of giardiasis, legionellosis, meningococcal disease, mumps and pertussis decreased.

* Ratio of current 4-week total to mean of 15 4-week totals (from previous, comparable, and subsequent 4-week periods for the past 5 years). The point where the hatched area begins is based on the mean and two standard deviations of these 4-week totals.

These are weekly cases of selected infectious national notifiable diseases, from the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS). NNDSS data reported by the 50 states, New York City, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories are collated and published weekly as numbered tables. Cases reported by state health departments to CDC for weekly publication are subject to ongoing revision of information and delayed reporting. Therefore, numbers listed in later weeks may reflect changes made to these counts as additional information becomes available. Case counts in the tables are presented as published each week.
